Adrianne Ho for The Venom Go By Hyperice

The Venom Go by Hyperice is my new favorite wearable technology. It’s become one of the first items I bring with me as I start my day. It’s super easy to use and offers several settings for different vibration patterns and levels of heat therapy. This allows me to use it in various situations, whether I’m in need of some serious relief to heal an injury or just wanting to add it to my daily practice of well-being. I love that it has bluetooth connectivity to my smart devices by syncing to the Hyperice app. This allows me to connect and access all of my devices in one place. The convenience of the Hyperice Venom technology in travel size really suits my on-the-go lifestyle.” – Adrianne Ho

“As someone who is frequently active, I have added it to my recovery process to enhance my performance when working out. I’ve noticed that since I’ve started using it my recovery time has decreased significantly. It’s also something that is useful to me throughout my day. The sleek and lightweight design allows me to use it discreetly when I’m in need of relaxation and relief. It’s easy to put on my body and remove once I’m finished receiving my heated massage. Although this technology was designed with athletes and wellness enthusiasts in mind, I would recommend it to anyone looking to feel their best and be free from body tension or pain.” – Adrianne Ho

Adrianne Ho for Hyperice Hypervolt 2 Pro

“I’m a big believer that you cannot do your best without feeling your best. That’s why recovery is so crucial when it comes to staying consistently physically active. I know that I cannot give my all during my workouts if my muscles are sore so I always take the time after to stretch and recover. A large part of that is done using technology like Hyperice’s Hypervolt 2 Pro for both warming up and cooling down. It’s the same percussion therapy that professional athletes in the NBA and the Olympics use for recovery. This specific device is the strongest Hypervolt that Hyperice makes with five speeds to massage sore muscles. Hyperice also has a Bluetooth connected app that can guide you according to the the sport or workout you do and for which areas are sore so you’re able to give yourself professional level treatment. I love when technology can improve our daily lives like the Hyperice Hypervolt 2 Pro.” – Adrianne Ho

Queen Of The Court

AdrianneHo_TennisTraining_IG-3 AdrianneHo_TennisTraining_IG-7AdrianneHo_TennisTraining_IG-8With the U.S. Open starting next week in NYC, more and more people are hitting the courts to play tennis. Whether you’re a novice or have been playing for years the benefits of the sport are endless. As someone who has started playing only in the past few years I can personally say that the sport has improved my level of fitness. The quick aerobic movements I do while playing  burns calories and keeps my heart rate up. In addition to cardiovascular health, the game also provides strength training for your legs, arms and upper body while swinging the racket tones the core… talk about a full body workout!

I like to start a session by warming up with a stretch and light jog. Once my body is warmed up I get a feel for the ball by playing half court and then move back to the baseline to work my forehand and backhand. It’s a good idea to have a focused strategy to your workout. Repetition of good form is key to the sport. No matter your level, keep at it and most of all have fun!

The Importance Of The Warm Down

SweatTheStyle_BrittanyBergmeister-27 SweatTheStyle_BrittanyBergmeister-29Sometimes the first thing we want to do post-workout is hit the nearest market or juice spot and grab a smoothie, yet it’s important to take a few minutes to stretch your muscles and warm down…
SweatTheStyle_BrittanyBergmeister-28 During a workout, muscles contract and small tears occur in muscle fibers. It’s important to stretch in order to repair these tears.SweatTheStyle_BrittanyBergmeister-24 During a workout, muscles contract and small tears occur in muscle fibers. It’s important to stretch in order to repair these tears. Some of the obvious reasons for stretching would be to prevent soreness, yet there are other reasons that are significant for your fitness goals and overall health. SweatTheStyle_BrittanyBergmeister-23 Post-workout your muscles are better prepared for stretching due to your tissue being more flexible, making the muscles less prone to injury. Stretching can also help relax your muscles while your heart rate returns to normal.SweatTheStyle_BrittanyBergmeister-22SweatTheStyle_BrittanyBergmeister-21If your goal is increased flexibility; post-workout stretching is very important. Loosening the tight muscles will not only improve your flexibility; but also your strength, endurance and aid overall recovery. Remember to also keep your body hydrated and take the time to center yourself. Appreciate what you’ve just accomplished and your body will thank you for it.

The Stairway to Fitness

AdrianneHo_IvyPark-6Sometimes the tools we need to workout are right in front of our face…
AdrianneHo_IvyPark-7 AdrianneHo_IvyPark-8In this case that would be stairs. Most people have access to stairs, which can be used as an excellent source for exercise! Incorporating stair climbing into your exercise routine is not only beneficial for fat-burning but can also give you amazing strength-building results. One of the main benefits of stair climbing is it’s natural ability to increase the muscle mass of your quadriceps and calves. The motion also gives you a slight upper body workout by pumping your arms, but if you add weights, you can increase the upper body benefits.

Studies have shown that a short, high-intensity exercise is just as effective at improving your fitness goals as doing cardio at a long, low-intensity. So whether you have stairs in your home, job, or at your local park, it’s time to grab some dumbbells and hit the nearest steps to challenge yourself to an awesome full body workout!

Tee Time

AdrianneHo_SweatTheStyle_Golf_Fitness-1The most important thing is to just go out there and give it a try…
AdrianneHo_SweatTheStyle_Golf_Fitness-2 AdrianneHo_SweatTheStyle_Golf_Fitness-1Sports take a lot of skill, discipline, and focus. But as intimidating as they can seem, the reward can be tenfold. Even if the thrill of competition isn’t your thing, recreational activity in nature is priceless. Sweat some style and don’t find excuses not to give a beautiful life sport like golf a try. Trying new things and getting out of your comfort zone can be a lot of fun. The key is to not get caught up in what people think of you and just do it.

Stairway To Heaven

AdrianneHo_JoeFresh_b-6 AdrianneHo_JoeFresh_b-8Running stairs is a medium to high-intensity cardio workout that burns calories for energy. Your heart rate increases, your muscles work harder, and you’ll need more oxygen as you ascend and descend. For best results, run stairs in high-intensity, short-duration intervals. This will push your metabolism, meaning you’ll burn more calories, reducing excess weight… Running stairs benefits your cardiovascular health, develops muscle and is free.
