“I had the pleasure of being invited to BAPELAND in Ura-Harajuku, Tokyo. The former home and studio of A Bathing Ape creator Nigo is a private exhibition of iconic Bape pieces, cars, furniture, art, sneakers, jewelry, instruments, toys and collectibles from its rich 30 year streetwear retrospective dating back to 1993. The home is adorned with vintage furniture from the likes of Jean ProuvĂ©, Charles Eames and Gufram as well as pop art from Andy Warhol. The space is mind blowing with original contemporary pieces from Murakami, Kaws, Futura and Stash. There are so many amazing collaborations and exclusives over the years from the likes of Supreme, Swarovski, and Louis Vuitton. The rare film, music and Americana workwear ephemera is so much fun to check out. Truly a highlight of my trip to Tokyo.”
