In the cut of Chinatown lies one of LA’s best new burger joints. It’s one of those, “If you know, you know” spots that keeps its menu simple (three items to be exact), short, and to the point. On some Japan shit…
Even when Chinatown’s Central Plaza is quiet you can expect to find a few skaters rocking Babylon and Bronze, LA cool kids, and foodies enjoying a quick bite from one of the city’s best kept secrets. With only a takeout window, a few tables and chairs scattered about; Burgerlords is reminiscent of a classic American fast-food joint from the 50’s. But unlike the travesty of most modern chains, Burgerlords uses only high quality grass-fed beef and fry their french fries in rice bran oil.

The Sweat The Style favorite is the mouth-watering vegan burger which rivals any other vegan burger on the market and most meat-based ones at that. Packed with delicious and nutritious ingredients: leeks, eggplant, mushrooms, garbanzo beans, celery, and spices. The patties are made fresh in-house every morning and topped with vegan American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and vegan thousand island.
Although burgers and fries are not recommended on the regular, it’s good to satisfy your cravings once in a while. Remember balance is key. If you grew up loving fast food it’s okay to still indulge, just do your research and find places that use real ingredients and make their food from scratch. Eat what you love and give yourself another reason to sweat more during your next workout!
